The 100th Carnival is on (Dec 26th 2010 - Jan 9th 2011) with loads of family entertainment at affordable prices for all age groups to enjoy. The Carnival has always had the public support from the residents of Timaru, but also from the many visitors to the bay. The Carnival has gone from strength to strength thanks to the work of a dedicated team of volunteers.
This summer the Carnival is expected to be very big as we celebrate 100 years with a variety of activities and entertainment including the amazing midnight New Years Eve fireworks display is a must to see and a excellent night of family entertainment.
The holidaymakers are treated to fairground style rides, free daily concerts, along with a variety of activities such as Inflatables, Mini Golf, Truck & Trailer Rig, Train Rides and events and competitions along with entertainment by popular New Zealand artists.
Auditions for the ever-popular talent quest are on:
- 7th January 2011 (9am Juniors),
- 7th January 2011 (3pm Intermediates),
- 8th January 2011 (9am Seniors).
- PLEASE NOTE: First 35 Entries received in each section only.
All finalists will be judged on 8th January 2011, at 6.30 pm on the Bay Sound Shell.
For holiday entertainment that the entire family can enjoy without breaking the bank, Caroline Bay Carnival is the place to be this summer.
